Help Scott (me) raise money for Team for Kids, an organization that helps NYRR Youth Programs, in order to run for them in the NYC Marathon.
As an aspiring marathon runner, it is my dream to run in the NYC Marathon this fall. But even more importantly, it is my dream to help others through my running.
Hello! My name is Scott and I am a 19 year old college student! I am hoping to raise money for the Team for Kids organization in order to be able to run in the NYC Marathon this fall. In order to get a spot in the marathon, Team for Kids asks runners to raise $2,620 as well as entrance fees for both the organization itself and the NYC marathon. But I want to raise more than just the minimum amount. Team for Kids has helped NYRR Youth Programs in a million different ways, bringing running and fitness programs to more than 200,000 students in under-served schools and communities. TFK also supports children in the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, another association I have donated money to and been a part of.
I have only recently begun my marathon training. It's not too bad now, but as the weeks and months go on, the miles will only get tougher. I can't run my first marathon without help, and it is such a great cause to be a part of. I want to support TFK, and I need support behind me in order to support them. With everyone's help, TFK can reach out to thousands more children and improve the health and lives of under-privileged kids and students.
All of the money raised will be going to TFK, and with your help, I can run in the NYC Marathon and make a difference. Thanks to everyone who donates, thanks to everyone who passes this along, and thanks to everyone who simply reads my fundraiser. The quicker I can raise the money, the quicker that I can register for the NYC Marathon and the quicker TFK can do well to NYRR Youth Programs. Thank you to everyone again. God Bless.
