HelpLink Mental Health Fundraiser

As the admins of NUIG Confessions, we set up the page to be a place for everyone to have fun and confess their library and class crushes, post stories of embarassing moments and funny experiences in NUIG. Fairly soon after setting the page up we realised that it could be more than that, and we started to get stories day in day out from students that were struggling with their mental health throughout the college. When everything closed in March and suddenly everyone was inside 24/7 and college moved online, we realised the major effects this had on both our own mental health, but also the mental health of students and staff across NUIG. So that's why we've set this up on World Mental Health day, to raise money for Helplink. An incredible charity working in the West of Ireland and especially in Galway. "Helplink Mental Health’s mission is to provide accessible, free or low cost mental health services; locally (West of IRL), nationally and internationally, 7 days a week and out–of–hours. The three types of mental health services that Helplink provides are: Counselling, Information Provision and Education." We have a great community built around the page and we believe it's about time we come together in these hard times and do some good! If you can even spare a Euro or two it would still be greatly appreciated !
