My name is Lena, and as a young gippslander, I have been chosen by Parallel 50's 'Blue Rust Projects' for the golden opportunity to travel the remote villages of Nepal, through the mission of their volunteer project in January. This rural assistance program will involve the aim to educate the communities of Nepal through developing sustainable programs that will give the children and their families the opportunity of more choices in their future. Furthermore, this years project will be returning to the Lamjung and Dhading districts to continue recent projects with Women's Health programs, providing computer education to teachers, and an agricultural program supplying and planting a community cash crop of cardamom with a sustainable production target of 20 years. We will undertake a livestock breeding program and aim to assist in giving support to schools with sporting programs that will improve the attendance rate and consequently their academic levels. We are also eager to be planning for assisting in the building of a hostel for student accommodation for remote students. My job is to raise $2000, where 100% of this money will go towards the project, and through 'go fund me', with your support, you can help me and the team lend a hand to the very beautiful communities and people of Nepal. Every cent will go a long way and is hugely appreciated.
Thank you for supporting the project and being a part in helping us to achieve our goals!
