Hi, my name is Christi,

My son Lance Has been on a 16 month journey fighting for custody of his precious 16 month old son Zander (My Grandson) He has traveled across the ocean multiple times, spent thousands of dollars on flights, hotels, lawyer fees, and rental cars all in an effort to win custody of his little boy Zander and save him from an unstable, unhealthy situation. All of these expensive trips to the mainland has also cost my son many days of missed work, but there is nothing he wouldn’t sacrifice to keep his son safe, happy and healthy.

His dream to receive custody and provide his son with a loving and stable home has finally come true.  Zander will be flying home with him today.

Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. As a family we are hoping to raise enough funds to help Lance get established, and provide Zander with all the necessary things he will need, as well as help him pay off some of the overwhelming fees and debts he has acquired over these past 16 months.

I know most of you have followed our family on this journey and have added them into your thoughts and prayers. We are all so grateful, and we know Lance and Zander would so appreciate any additional support you can help provide.

My son Lance wrote this and I loved it so much I had to share! 

I just wanted to thank everyone for their support, prayers and most of all love, through the hardest fight of my life. 

I’ve never backed down from a fight and been through many trials in my life that at the time I would often get mad at God, thinking he was somehow punishing me for my past mistakes. 

I now realize he was making me indestructible for the greatest fight of my life. The fight with the most at stake! the safety, health and happiness of my amazing 16month old little son,  Zander boy.  I can’t even find words for how much I love him, there are none that come close. 

I started this fight when he was two weeks old. Through patience, consistency, lots of travel, lots of money, amazing support system of family and my lawyers I finally completely secured my ability to keep my son protected and safe until my last breath. 

I got supervised visits at first (two of them) Then I got unsupervised 2 hr visits, 3hr, 4hr, 6hr, 8hr then 24’s then 48’s increasing with each trip across the ocean. 

 I was finally awarded 50/50 and the ability to bring my son to Hawai’i with me. I did all of this with flights across the Pacific Ocean to the mainland and long drives after that. 

I slept in hotels alone for weeks on end, writing Declarations and fighting for my son through the proper legal channels. All while being alienated by my sons mother and making things as hard as possible on me, never giving one more minute than what she was ordered to. Which In turn hurts Zander as well. Deprives my son of a loving, protective father. 

I have just won sole legal and physical custody of my son per emergency order. 

I am a surfer and the best part about praying while wet In the ocean is no one can see it’s actually tears running down my face as I prayed to God daily to please keep my son safe until I can take custody and ensure nothing and no one will ever hurt him, as long as I’m right there. 

I again thank you all more than anything because I know God heard us. The light will always prevail over the dark, faith and persistence with absolutely all we can do on a human level, combined with the universe and God is always a recipe for success. 

The Judge said “Mr De Leva has quite literally made a “Herculean” effort to be a father to his son (an impossible task).

Nothing is impossible with Gods love and help and an amazing, supportive family
