On November 12th, 2025, my beloved mother, Mai Lee, passed away after her heart gave out from years of stress and ongoing medical complications. She was the widowed wife of a veteran who served with the U.S. CIA during the Vietnam War, a devoted mother to eight children, and a gentle grandmother to 36 grandchildren. Several of her children and many of her grandchildren still live in Laos, and even though we are scattered across countries, we are all grieving this loss as one family.
In 2012, we were blessed to sponsor her to come to the United States so she could spend her later years surrounded by her children and loved ones. Because of her age and health, she was never able to qualify for or afford life insurance. As we face her sudden passing, we are struggling to cover the full cost of her funeral and burial. My only wish is to give her the dignified, peaceful ceremony she deserves — a final farewell worthy of the love, sacrifice, and quiet strength she carried throughout her life.
If you feel moved to help in any way, our family would be deeply grateful. No amount is too small, and even sharing this message means more than you know. Your kindness will help us honor her memory and lay her to rest with the respect she earned during her lifetime.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
