My name is Shawn Dennis. I am from the island of Jamaica and currently living in Canada. The road to recovery after hurricane Melissa has been challenging for our community in Troy, Jamaica. I'm focused on supporting my family, friends, and neighbours as we work to rebuild, recover and restore a sense of normalcy to our lives. This includes helping with essential supplies and providing much needed emotional support during this difficult time. We are working collectively to clear debris from roads and repair damaged homes which is a true testament to our resilience as a community. Efforts are underway to restore essential services and ensure that everyone has access to clean water and food. Community meetings are crucial for coordinating our rebuilding efforts and sharing resources effectively. It's inspiring to see how united we are in this mission to get back on our feet. I believe in the strength and spirit of our Jamaican people to overcome this adversity. Together, we will rebuild a stronger and more resilient community.. #HurricaneMelissa #JamaicaStrong #CommunityRebuilding #Resilience #Jamaicahttps://youtu.be/An3y4U8JPBI?si=TGdKPXrYqOQxm2_P
