Hello, my name is Chelsea and my family live in Sao Vicente, Cape Verde. On the 10th of August we were hit with an enormous storm, my grandfather could not remember the last time he had witnessed anything like it. So many people have been displaced from their homes, lost their belongings, friends, daughters, sons and more. I am hoping to raise around £1500 possibly more which converts to around 191,580 CVE escudos to send to my cousin who will then help those in need with clothes, food etc. Personally I have never witnessed anything like it before and it broke my heart leaving the island and seeing the destruction that had been caused.
