Friends and family of the Hastings community the Rauser family experienced a tragic fire last night.

They are an incredible and generous family who quietly bless others. We have been given the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus for them.

The fire took 2 of their barns; including many different things needed to run a homestead. Sadly, they also lost 2 pigs. They do have insurance but it is going to take a long time to pay out. They NEED to demo so they can rebuild SOMETHING before winter.

The following is a list Jess sent me of what they need:

-temporary shelters for farrowing pigs

-quite a few hoses

-stock tanks because our automatic waterers are all destroyed

-milking station

-milking equipment

all our fencing is off because we think the fencer started the fire, so all of our animals can get out now.

-extra solar charger were in there

-2000# of feed we just picked up on Friday

-chicken, goat, and cow feed - including hay

-new side by sides

-gas cans

-diesel

-Lots and lots of tools

-All our animal meds

-All our heat lamps

-large animal scale that we use to weigh feed to ferment
