Helping the Prestons after the death of Jon.

Donation protected
Hey everyone, as most of you know, we lost my father Jon Preston very abruptly and terribly to a sudden stroke that had complications. My dad was slated to make a full recovery but unexpectedly passed away a day later. My family is completely devastated. My dad was the most wonderful father I could have asked for, he specialized in sharing his love for the natural world with my brother and I since we were very young. He was extremely supportive in my recent efforts to go back to college, and had great pride in my brother’s recent position as an electrician. He was a Park Ranger for 27 years, and a US Navy Veteran.

After his death, we honored his wishes of wanting to be an organ donor. His liver, one kidney, and lungs were all donated to those in need of them, and for needed medical research.

Alongside my father’s death, my brother Archer is being tested for Lymphoma (cancer of the lymphatic system) and has had to take extra time off of working because of this. While my mother, brother, and I attempt to regain any sense of normalcy in our lives, we are asking for your help in the meantime. We each had to take at least a week+ off of our respective jobs for my dad’s death alone, not including the time needed to get testing done for Archer. My mother and I both pay rent and will need help covering that, as well as small things like gasoline and food.

Thank you so much for your consideration of helping my family at this time, or even taking the time to share this. My dad’s story is a legacy, and I know he will live on through us as we recover and through those who were gifted parts of him to continue to live their own lives as well.
