Helping the poor in Gambia

Fundraiser for the poor in Gambia
Dear good fans. I really hate to do this again so soon, but I feel like if I and others have the power to help those in need - we should try our best. We should always seek to do good deeds regardless of the obstacles. And with the power of large numbers, if many people participate, money can be quickly raised.
Balla Jallow, one of the followers of this facebook page, from the Gambia is in need of money to help feed 34 families in his town of Kantora. Due to COVID-19 many of the parents of these families have had their jobs - typically labourers and general helpers in construction - suspended due to social distancing measures. This has given them no income for food.
Balla Jallow is an educated - the most educated person in his town - 25 yr old, who is studying Social studies at university. He is the only person in Kantora who joined and remained at a university after Senior School and he is passionate in helping his fellow town members. Many of them have been knocking on Balla's door asking for food. He hopes to help support his town members materially and also educate them more, which he already does working as a teacher amongst them.
Money to Gambia is money well donated. It's almost impossible to donate to a fraud in Gambia. The country is dirt poor.
> According to the Borgen project (1, 2017), The Gambia is classified as a food-deficit, low-income country. It ranked 175 out of 188 countries in the UNDP Human Development Index. That is, the Gambia is the 175th worst developed nation on this entire planet using the HDI index, which is based on: life expectancy, expected years of schooling and a decent standard of living.
> According to the world food programme (2, 2019), 48% of Gambians live in poverty
> According to the world population review (3, 2020), The Gambia is one of the smallest and poorest nations in Africa with widespread poverty. The country has very little economic diversity, which makes it vulnerable to food price volatility and erratic rainfall.

I have donated money myself to him. But there is only so much I can do. We as the rich and spoiled people of the west, grumbling that our iphone 11s, gucchi bags and ornamented houses aren't good enough, are certainly obliged by our God-given blessings to support those across the world who can barely even afford their food and to help educate them to lead more productive and healthier lives.
I have added photos below to show of the community and when they purchased a number of 50k of bags of rice which they bought from donations. Also there are videos of the town exhibiting their great gratitude for the rice found on my youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/cha…/UCNR_JX-4yJBE-kLM2QXuiKA/videos
