Supplies for kids to help fight COVID-19 in Zambia
This pandemic has affected almost every country, and Zambia is one of the highly impacted countries. Due to the unavailability of the vaccine for kids, and the continuous waves of COVID-19 because of rapid mutations of the virus, these kids have been especially vulnerable. To help the kids in Zambia, we have collaborated with Family Legacy, a non-profit organization, which looks after 14,000 kids in Zambia. Currently, they need medical supplies to deal with the rising number of COVID-19 infections amongst kids.
Through this fundraiser we aim to provide medical supplies (oxygen concentrators and other essentials) for kids. Please help us achieve this goal quickly.
To make the process transparent, these are the steps of this initiative:
1. We contacted Family Legacy to learn about their requirements.
2. We will purchase the supplies with the money collected here.
3. The supplies will be donated at the Family Legacy center in Texas and will be transported to Zambia.
4. At the end of the campaign we will provide an update with accounting and receipts.
The team behind this campaign:
Aastha Tyagi and Nishtha Tyagi are seniors in Coppell High School, Coppell, Texas.
After witnessing global suffering during this pandemic, we wanted to help. So, we reached out to local charity organizations in the Dallas area and learned about Family Legacy and their work in Zambia. We hope this campaign will help save lives in Zambia.
