Helping the Hopi and Navajo through the winter
Donation protected
We are planning three trips this year to help warm up and feed the native Americans of northern Arizona. Thousands of Hopi and Navajos still have no electricity or running water. Because of the Peabody coal mine shutting down it has created difficulties of getting coal to warm the elderly. These are remote areas at high elevations. It gets very cold on the reservation.
This year mid October with several volunteers we will be distributing food and coal to the elderly.
Early November with about 30 volunteers. We will be conducting a food and blanket drive in northern Utah. We will be chopping many cords of wood, distributing coal, and food to the elderly. We will also be fixing a couple of elderly‘s houses. Visiting 5 to 6 villages at Hopi and Navajo.
In early December we will have about 70 volunteers distributing food clothing etc. Santa Claus will bring gifts for the children and distribute as we have for over 25 years to the Hopi and Navajo reservation. You can follow us at our website: UnitedRAIN.org Hopi Outreach
