A week ago, on May 3rd, we, the Champion family, experienced a devastating loss due to a house fire. We all evacuated with the clothes on our backs and now are safe, including our pet cockapoo dog. One family member suffered 2nd-degree burns and will fully recover, thank God. We were displaced with electric, gas, and water shut off and housed with the support of the Red Cross and family. We will be seeking refuge for months ahead as our next move is undetermined. For the most part, we have lost maybe 85% of our contents. We also experienced extreme water and smoke damage as a result. Right now, we are navigating through arrangements of hotel expenses, food insecurity, insurance deductibles, arrangements to and from work and school, amongst many other unimaginable intangibles. While we do have insurance, that process will take some time to play out. In the meantime, it’s one day at a time putting the pieces back together. It’s all out-of-pocket expenses. Would you be kind enough to consider supporting us with any amount of financial donation? Trust me, it ALL helps and matters right now. Just sharing our dilemma by word of mouth or social media perhaps will assist us in some way. Thank you for taking time to read this. We are determined to rise again.
