Hello everyone. I’d like to introduce myself and my family. My name is Shahd Kamal Ramadan. My family consists of four members, and we live in Gaza. I study engineering, and my brother studies pharmacy. We used to have a happy and stable life, full of beautiful moments. We had a warm, big house, and my father had a wonderful business raising birds and cute cats and selling all their supplies. He also had a business for selling and arranging flowers. We lived a dignified life, growing up and dreaming of a bright future filled with hope.
However, the horrific war on my country came and destroyed all of this. The war destroyed our beautiful home in the first days, as well as my father’s business, including the cats and birds he raised. This business was the only source of income for our family. Then began the bitterness of war, bombing, and displacement. We were forced to leave northern Gaza for the south, where we have been living in a small tent for over a year and a half. Living in the tent has been extremely difficult, with great struggles to meet our basic needs and continue our education.
The circumstances we face have finally pushed me, after over a year and a half, to take this step that I had been hesitant to make. We need your support to end this suffering, regain part of our former life, and rebuild our dreams.
I am deeply grateful to you, and thank you very much.
