Helping Rachel and Ryleigh survive their loss

I'm writing this on behalf of my brother and his wife, Alan and Cheryl Heist, who both passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021. They were married in 2002 and soon settled into their home where they welcomed and cherished two daughters, Rachel (2005) and Ryleigh (2010). With careers in finance and nursing, Alan and Cheryl always worked hard to provide for their family. Long time members of their church the family also shared a love of nature and animals. The girls both blossomed into avid learners and excel in school. Rachel, now 16, is entering her senior year with big plans for her future focusing on science and research. Ryleigh, almost 11, is a dynamic and driven young lady showing great promise for the future.

Alan and Cheryl were devoted and loving parents. These girls were the center of their universe. Every decision they made was to try to give them the best foundation for success ... from martial arts training, to philanthropic involvement, to church... they made every effort to surround these girls with the right values and strongest footing. They helped the girls with homework together every evening, found ways to fund growth activities even when it wasn't easy, and focused on ensuring strong family bonds and constant love.

To put it bluntly they loved these girls with all their hearts, and would put anything aside to ensure their safety and success. That now becomes our role. And we will ensure we do not fall short.

With the loss of their parents, these beautiful, caring and uniquely wonderful girls now need our help to navigate this world. We are raising money to help cover day-to-day expenses, save for college tuition, etc. and want to offer this as a way to show your love and support for Rachel and Ryleigh.
