Helping Patty Wheeler

Patty, her family and her community lost Joe, her beloved husband,  very unexpectedly this week. Patty and Joe would have been together 30 years in Jan. 2019 and losing him at 49 years old was a shock to everyone. After 30 years together your lives are one and without your person you feel lost. They have lived in the Fairfax Grove neighborhood for about  16 years and are a huge part of the community. You could often find them porch sitting with a cocktail in hand on any evening, strolling to the Farmer's Market, where they knew everyone, or out riding their bikes. Losing Joe has been a big loss  for us all and we want to do everything we can to help Patty stay in their apartment on Stanley Ave, so we don't lose her too. We all know how the rents are increasing in Los Angeles and most of us depend on two incomes to make it work. We want to help Patty with anything she needs during this time and we mainly don't want her having to stress out about how to stay and pay for her apartment. We'd love to get a year's rent covered which would be 24k, (Los Angeles, I know) but, let's see if we can raise at least 15k to start!
