Hi friends and community,
Due to I.C.E. activity in our cities, some families in our neighborhoods are unable to safely leave their homes. Families are scared to step outside, and many are even afraid to seek medical attention when they need it. Parents are missing work, and families are struggling to access food and basic necessities—not by choice, but for their safety.
I personally know a family of 5 that is currently living with the constant fear of being separated because of I.C.E. They are facing overwhelming anxiety and are now preparing to become parents month sooner than expected due to the extreme stress they are under. No family should have to experience that kind of fear during what should be a joyful and hopeful time. They are currently trying to afford baby necessities while also catching up on past-due bills.
This situation has also deeply impacted me and my own family emotionally and mentally. I carry the responsibility of making sure my loved ones are safe, fed, and stable during this uncertain time. Balancing that responsibility, supporting other families in our community, and keeping up with work has not been easy—but I truly believe we take care of each other when it matters most.
This fundraiser was created to support families who are sheltering in place by providing groceries, essential household items, safe home drop-offs, and assistance with rent and monthly bills.
Even a small donation can help put food on a family’s table. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page makes a big difference.
Thank you for choosing compassion and standing with our neighbors. Together, we can help families feel supported, seen, and safe
