Dear Nine52 residents,

We all know our dear concierge Arismendi (who you may also know as Mendi or Aris) for his contagious smile and warm energy. Everyday, he greets us out and into the building with positivity. For me personally, he has really made New York feel like home over the years away from my family.

Mendi needs us to show up for him now. You may or may not have heard that he has recently lost his home. The fire that broke out at 1420 Noble Avenue in the Bronx on Sunday, June 11th left nothing of his apartment, which has been completely destroyed with everything in it. Thank goodness he and his family were not in the place when the flames began entering the apartment and are safe and healthy.

However, Mendi, his wife and four kids are now staying with family and looking to rebuild their lives from scratch. All they have is what was on them that day.

Some of you have donated furniture already for Mendi's future new home, thank you for that.

I'm starting this gofundme so we can get together to help Mendi as much as possible and take as much of the worry away for him and his beautiful family.

Still, he comes to work every day, with a smile, and this is our time to show him we care.
