War Took Our Home — Help Us Find Hope Again
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Reem. Before the war, my husband and I lived a stable and dignified life in Gaza. I worked as the Head of Marketing at a well-known company, and my husband was a dedicated school teacher.
We had our own home, a car, and a beautiful life with our three sons:
• Our eldest is a university student studying Software Engineering
• Our second had just completed high school and was dreaming of continuing his education
• Our youngest is in 8th grade
But on the morning of October 7, 2023, everything collapsed.
War broke out, and by October 10, we were forced to leave our home with nothing but pain and memories.
Since then, we have been displaced from one place to another, facing conditions beyond imagination.
On January 1, 2025, our home was completely destroyed in an airstrike, leaving us homeless.

We’ve had to live in tents and on the streets, more than once — and we still are.

Today, we are enduring unbearable financial and living conditions, with nearly no access to basic necessities — and if they are available, they come at outrageous prices:
• 1 kg of flour: 75 ILS (~$20)
• 1 kg of sugar: 350 ILS (~$95)
• 1 kg of salt: 25 ILS (~$7)
• 1 kg of tomatoes: 55 ILS (~$15)
• 1 kg of cucumbers: 45 ILS (~$12)
• 1 kg of onions (if found): 200 ILS (~$55)
Even accessing money is a crisis.
Due to the collapse of the banking system, we rely on cash dealers who take up to 42% in fees.
If we try to withdraw $100, we only receive around $58.
Today, we reach out to your hearts — to your humanity — to help us survive and rebuild.
We’re not asking for luxury.
We are asking for life.
Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us afford food, water, and medicine — and gives our children the chance to continue their education and hold on to hope.
Please donate and share our story.
Your support could mean the difference between despair and survival.
From the depths of our hearts — thank you.
