Helping my parents rebuild from a devastating wildfire.

Hi my name is Michael Lylyk,

I have grown up in the village of Denare Beach, Saskatchewan my entire childhood. It is a peaceful community in the middle of vast amounts of lakes and forests. The Devastation the WOLF fire has caused to half of the community, took us all by surprise. Especially as the surrounding regions were battling their own wildfires.

It's hard to put into words just how devastating it is to see that your entire world no longer exists.

Much like other residents, my parents home is completely gone. I started this gofundme as a means to help out in any way that I can. My parents have always given so much to their kids and raised them as best as they could and I would be remiss if I didn't find a way to repay that kindness that they showed me. Denare Beach will always be my home, and I will always go back, so I want to help rebuild. Help my family, or even the community, carry on.

The funds will be used to help my family, but they are also very community minded people, so any funds raised here may also go to others that are in need of it.

In the process of having this fundraiser up, I will be streaming on my twitch channel as a means of engaging with people while the effort of fundraising is going. I am doing this while juggling a day job and it is tough, but I understand the problems this is going to face. The world is tough out there and we pick ourselves up and keep going. I hope you can spare some of your time too.
