Helping my mom after her apartment caught fire
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
I am reaching out to you all today with a heavy heart to share the devastating news that my mother, Barbara Morgan, recently experienced a life-altering tragedy. At 5:08am on June 29th her apartment complex caught on fire. Filled with her life possessions which she has kept up with for the past 30+ years. We are in need of some assistance as my mom has lost everything and can’t replace what she has lost on her own.
The Fire:
At this time we are not sure exactly what cause but she was told it was electrical.
The Aftermath:
The fire not only took away her home but it also stripped her of her cherished memorabilia, (all 3 of her children’s baby photos and clothes, thousands of photos, all of our art work throughout the years and precious heirlooms) her furniture, clothing, and everyday essentials. My mom has to start completely from scratch since all she has is the clothes she was wearing and her dog, Scrappy, in her hands. Not even shoes.
The Road to Recovery:
In a traumatic event like the one my mom went through, friends and family can make a world of difference. That's why I have established this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for Barbara’s new challenging road to recovery. The funds collected will go directly towards helping her rebuild her life and provide a safe and comfortable home once again.
How Your Support Can Help:
1. Temporary Shelter: Immediate accommodations are crucial as Barbara try to regain her footing. Your donations will help cover temporary housing expenses while she work with insurance on the details.
2. Essential Needs: From clothing to toiletries, kitchen supplies to furniture, my mom needs help replacing the essentials that were lost in the fire.
4. Emotional Support: Recovering from such a traumatic event takes time and emotional support. Your kindness and empathy will help my mom know that she has support through this difficult time and that she is not alone in this.
Anything would help her in her desperate time of need. If you have any advice on more steps she should take during this time, please PM me.
With the upmost gratitude,
Her favorite
