Please Help My Family Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa.
Dear Friends and Family,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart—but also with hope. My name is Seanna from Orlando Florida. My heart aches for my homeland of Jamaica after witnessing the historic destruction caused by Hurricane Melissa. My childhood home, where my father still resides in, was flooded, family left without roofs, some still submerged in water. My hometown of Montego Bay and St. Elizabeth where I spent most of my holidays filled with so much child hood memories were destroyed.
This powerful Category 5 hurricane tore through communities with winds up to 185 mph, leaving behind heartbreaking devastation. Our family roots run deep in Montego Bay, St. Elizabeth, and Manchester—places once filled with laughter, love, and strong community spirit.
Across the island, roofs were ripped away, trees uprooted, and homes reduced to rubble. Some families are living in shelters, while others are trying to salvage whatever remains.
I started this fundraiser—to help my family rebuild, home by home, and heart by heart.
Your donation will help provide:
✅ Temporary shelter and tarps for families without roofs
✅ Food, water, clothing, and hygiene supplies
✅ Building materials to assist in rebuild
Jamaicans are resilient, faith-filled people, but they need our support right now. Please donate what you can, and share this page with your friends and networks. Together, we can help restore hope, dignity, and stability to families who have lost so much.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for your compassion and generosity.
One love,
Seanna ❤️
