I live in Sweden and am organizing a donation campaign for my Abdul Halim, from Gaza.

This is a letter from my Abdel Halim //

I am Abdul Halim Al-Akhras from Gaza. I am a father of 6 children

Children: Maryam, 23 years old, , Marwa, 21 years old, Muhammad, 18 years old, Lian, 14 years old, Ayed, 12 years old, Talia, 4 years old. I came to you today with a heart heavy with worries and pain. I lost everything here in Gaza. My wife and I struggled for years and paid everything we had so that we could have a quiet and beautiful home, but everything was gone because a large part of our home in Rafah city was destroyed.

Having a good time was ruined

My children were displaced from Rafah in the harshest conditions with bombing over our heads until I reached Mawasi Khan Yunis, and now I live with my children and my wife in a tent that lacks the minimum requirements for a decent living.Unfortunately, in this war, a large part of our dreams and future were shattered. In 2018, I obtained a master’s degree in management and leadership at the Academy of Management and Policy for Postgraduate Studies. Shortly before the war on Gaza, I was seeking to study for a doctorate in Egypt. Also, my daughter was Marwa, 21, is about to graduate from university in general nursing, and my son, Mohammed, who has always dreamed of joining him. He joined the university and studied cybersecurity engineering, but because of the war, my children and I were unable to achieve our goals. Not only that, my workplace, which was the Rafah municipality building, was bombed and destroyed. I now became an empty-handed person, and my utmost ambition became to obtain food and drink for my children.

My children suffer from a lack of healthy food and have become vulnerable to diseases and viruses due to lack of hygiene and poor conditions around them.

I also suffer from a chronic disease, which is urinary diabetes, and interruption of my treatment with desmorin due to the closure of the crossings and interruption of treatment may cause me dehydration or kidney failure.

Now I am talking to you while bombs are scattered over us and warplanes are almost unable to stop the bombing, and I am very afraid for my children. Please help us and save us to get out of Gaza because time is very precious.

I ask the compassionate hearts in the free world to stand with us and help us get out of the machine of war, destruction and killing that does not stop.

The fundraising campaign aims to raise the costs of my travel with my wife, six children, their son-in-law, Marwa Muhammad, and their daughter, Wateen, to get out of the genocide in Gaza. Travel costs are currently estimated at approximately US$5,000 per person (equivalent to 55,000 Swedish krona) for a total of US$45,000 (equivalent to 490,000 Swedish krona) for my family.
