Hi everyone,
On the 25th of July 2026, I will be attempting one of the hardest challenges of my life — climbing Mount Snowdon carrying 150kg on my back. Some people are going to think I’m crazy for this but my mindset is this 150kg of Weight. A Lifetime of Hope for Russell.
But this climb isn’t about me.
It’s about my little brother, Russell.
Russell is only 5 years old, but he has already been through more pain, hospitals, and operations than most people face in a lifetime. Since the day he was born, he has been fighting bravely with a rare condition called VACTERL syndrome which only 1 in 40,000 children are born with, which affects several parts of his body. Unfortunately for Russell he has every single acronym.
Watching such a small child go through so much has been heartbreaking. He faces things no child ever should — hospital stays, procedures, travelling long distances for major operations — yet he still smiles, laughs, and shows strength that amazes all of us.
My mum and dad have devoted their lives to caring for Russell. As he grows, he will need specialist equipment, ongoing medical care, and regular travel for treatment and surgeries. The emotional and financial pressure on our family is enormous.
That’s why I’m doing this.
Carrying 150kg up Snowdon will push me to my absolute limit — but it is nothing compared to the weight my brother and my parents carry every single day.
Every penny raised will go towards helping Russell have the best possible care and giving my family some support during an incredibly difficult journey.
If you can donate, no matter how small, you’ll be helping a brave little boy have a better future. If you can’t donate, even sharing this page means more than you know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting my family
