It almost doesn’t seem real. Dad passed away Wednesday evening. He fought a difficult battle with cancer over the past year, it was by no means easy. He fought so hard through all the pain, but we’re relieved that he had a peaceful passing.

In 2018 he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and it moved to his bones and then to his brain. He went through several rounds of chemo and radiation. The radiation on his brain took a toll on him, it really affected his thinking and functioning.

On January 28th Dad was working in the shop and became disoriented. He was flown to UC Health Anschutz via helicopter ambulance. Wednesday The doctors found out that he had a serious infection that was getting worse very quickly. He had no way of recovering, and passed very peacefully surrounded by his family.

We are so thankful for the amazing staff at Anshcutz, for the Morgan County Ambulance, The Brush Fire Department, Dispatch, and The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department. How lucky we are to come from a small community and all the love and support we have received from everyone!
