Hello, my name's Samantha Casey, though I go by Casey. I am a current high school student, class of 2026. The reason I am starting a GoFundMe is for my mom and also benefits me as well since I am currently living with her.

Now, this is something many people go through, so I feel like people will look past this, and I get afraid to even ask for help. I hope anybody who goes through this as well will find hope and that life gets easier for them.

Basically, my mom and I are in a bad financial situation. She has no job, our car is almost broken down, and that would make us stranded—we're living off only food stamps and loans she barely even receives, and bills are building up. Now, you might ask me, why not help with that or why not your mom get a job? She had a bad injury making her disabled and can barely move well. Also, I don’t make enough at all at my job, and even so, I use it to help with my future and other things and my two cats. I make $400 or more monthly, and that barely does anything in this economy.

All of this is making my mom stressed out to the point she tells me how she wants to end her life every day, and I can’t do much about it because she won’t accept resources. The most I want to do to help out with this is to at least raise some money to ease her stress and for me to also live a bit stress-free because everything has been affecting me as well, and I can’t even focus on life.
