On Monday, January 5th, 2025, at around 7:00 a.m., a devastating fire broke out in the apartment building where my boyfriend, Matthew Feole and his mother, Karen Devanney, live. Matthew and I were in the building when the fire occurred and made it out safety along with his cat, Trout. Matthew acted fast when he smelt smoke and got us all out safely and I can’t thank him enough. The fire caused severe damage to their apartment, and they lost nearly everything they owned. Although they were able to save a few personal belongings, most of their home and possessions were destroyed.

Matthew and Karen have always been the kind of people who put others first and never ask for help, which makes this situation especially difficult for them. They are now facing the overwhelming reality of starting over after this sudden loss. Anyone who knows them understands how kind, hardworking, and generous they are.

Any support—whether through a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser—would mean more than words can express and would help them begin rebuilding their lives. They are incredibly thankful for the love, kindness, and support they’ve received during this heartbreaking time. I am trying to help them the best way I can to rebuild their life after this tragic loss, it’s the least I can do for everything they have done for me and the people around them❤️
