Helping make memories

I am fundraising on behalf of my husband, Willie. Willie & I meet 18yrs ago & have been together since. We have only ever spent one night apart! Willie is honestly, the most genuine, loving person you shall met, he always has people laughing from his jokes or sarcasm!!! When we go somewhere & people see us together, or we chat to others about each other, people always remark how in love we are. This is so true, he's my absolute world. We have two, beautiful, children together, they are our biggest accomplishment in life.
In 2020 Willie was diagnosed with breast cancer, he had to have a full mastectomy and removal of his lymph nodes, he then underwent chemotherapy & radiotherapy. This was an 18 month long journey. It was heart breaking, worrying & destroying seeing our children's faces with constant fear.
Cancer impacts every part of your life negatively & is never far from the back of your mind. His cancer is also visual, he has two large scars across his chest. Men frequently in the warm weather, or at a swimming pool etc have their tops removed, this is a different case for Willie. A constant reminder of the pain suffered/suffering. To add to this visual suffering, Willie is having to have all of his teeth removed, this is due to damaged from previous cancer treatment & risk of new treatment putting him at a seriously high risk of infection.
Nov 2023 Willie was diagnosed again, with secondary, metatastic, Bone cancer. Cancer was back! Hearing those words and the details of how our lives will change dramatically, as of that second, made my entire body hurt with pain. The bone cancer is palliative, it can not be cured.
As extremely difficult as it is, we must try to remain positive and just take each day, some days each hour as it comes.
We would love to create as many memories, as a family, as we can. When going through the hardest time & knowing it wont get any better, only worse, you really rely on things to look forward to, but of course that cost money. Unfortunately we don't have the spare money to create these memories, or to have things look forward to. Not having the worry and strain so much, of money and being able to look forward to things would make our lives a little bit easier.
Since I meet Willie he has always said he'd love to get his bike licence & to own a bike by his 40th birthday. He turns 40th next June. Iv always been dubious about this, as know it can be dangerous, but now the only thing I'm scared of is cancer! If I could make this dream come true for him, with the help from you, it would be phenomenal. He truly, truly deserves it.
If you can donate anything, as it all adds up, we would be so grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
IMPORTANT: Can I please ask, that if you have children of your own & know us, meaning our children shall likely know each other, please not to talk to your children about our circumstances. We have chosen to only reveal a very small part of Willie's illness with them. As I'm sure you can understand if they knew the full severity then their childhood would be ruined and their innocent lives they live changed.
