Last night, our family experienced something we never imagined we would have to face.

Lisa Thrapp and her sister, Sheila Smithson, lost their home and nearly everything they own in a devastating fire.

The fire began in the trailer home on the property and quickly spread to the house. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, and for that we are incredibly grateful. Unfortunately, the homes and their belongings could not be saved, leaving Lisa and Sheila with essentially nothing.

This property has been their home for approximately 20 years. In a matter of hours, the place they have called home for two decades, along with clothing, personal belongings, household necessities, and countless irreplaceable items, was gone.

Making this loss even more difficult, there is no homeowners insurance to help cover what was lost or the cost of rebuilding. They are now facing the overwhelming task of starting over from the ground up.

We are creating this fundraiser to help Lisa and Sheila through the immediate aftermath and the long road ahead. Donations will help provide temporary housing, clothing, food and everyday necessities, replacement of essential belongings, cleanup and debris removal, and eventually the costs associated with rebuilding.

Right now, we are simply trying to help them take things one day at a time and make an unimaginable situation a little less overwhelming.

Any amount helps. If you aren't able to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean just as much to our family.

Most importantly, we are incredibly thankful that Lisa and Sheila are safe. Everything else can eventually be replaced or rebuilt, and we are so grateful for everyone willing to help them begin again.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, prayers, and support for Lisa and Sheila during this incredibly difficult time.
