My name is Jenna from Ohio and on December 30th, a message came from a  family friend in Venezuela that their 18 month old son had suffered second degree burns from an accident with boiling water. As you know, Venezuela is in crisis and does not have the medical supplies, medication or equipment readily available to them as we do in the USA.   Our hearts were broken and we wanted to find ways to help this child and his family. 

Thank you to  MANY people at my hospital for your expertise, knowledge and willingness to donate your time to someone you have never even met.

If it was not for this particular foundation in Venezuela (Foundation Lala), this child would likely have not received the care they needed to survive.  This foundation provides care to over 4000 pediatric patients per month in Venezuela and supports an orphanage with over 100 children. 

This is little boy is on his way to recovery, but we want to ensure future children have the supplies they need. 

All monetary donations will be used to buy medical supplies,diapers, clothes, and OTC medications to help children in need.  The funds from this fundraising effort will be withdrawn by me (Jenna), and purchased once we hit our goal (or come close to it!)
