Update:

With the heaviest of hearts, we share that Lachlan had his life support turned off on Friday 27th March at 7:30pm. He passed away peacefully with Kacey and his loved ones right by his side, surrounding him with love.

On Tuesday 24th March, our family’s world was turned upside down in the most heartbreaking way.

Lachlan, just 13 years old, was out playing with his friend when he was tragically hit by a car. He was airlifted to Sheffield Children’s Hospital, where doctors have done everything they can to save him. Sadly, his injuries are too severe, and there is nothing more that can be done.

Lachlan is a cheeky, funny boy who absolutely loves life. He brings so much laughter and joy to everyone around him and is loved by so many. He is Kacey’s world.

His sister, Kacey, who is his primary carer, is now spending every precious moment she can by his side, making the most of the time they have together. She will be with him, holding his hand and surrounding him with love, right until the very end.

In the midst of this unimaginable pain, Kacey has made the incredibly brave and selfless decision to donate Lachlan’s organs. When the time comes, Lachlan will go on to give the gift of life to other boys and girls. Even in this darkest moment, he is a true hero, and a part of him will live on by helping others.

We are asking for help to ease the financial burden she is now facing. She wants to give Lachlan the beautiful send-off he deserves, without the added worry of funeral costs. Any additional support will help her take the time she needs to grieve without the pressure of financial stress.

No one should ever have to face losing a child, and no one should have to go through this alone.
