My name is Celine Taina, and I am a proud first-generation Jamaican descendant currently living in the United Kingdom. I am the founder of Celine Taina Boutique, a worldwide hair company based in London that celebrates beauty, self confidence, and culture. My Jamaican roots run deep—I descend from the once beautiful parish of St. Elizabeth, and my family later relocated to Montego Bay, where much of my extended family still resides today. Though I now live abroad, Jamaica remains my heart, my foundation, and my inspiration.
In light of the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa, I have launched a fundraiser to provide urgent relief for individuals and families across Jamaica who have been affected by hurricane Melissa. The hurricane has left many people without homes, food, and basic necessities, while others face, grief, significant emotional and financial hardship. This fundraiser will raise funds to supply food, toiletries, baby food and clothes, women’s products, and temporary accommodation for displaced families, ensuring they receive essential care and support in the wake of this disaster.
Through Celine Taina Boutique, my mission has always been to empower and uplift others. Today, that mission extends beyond business—it is about humanity, compassion, and community. I believe that as members of the Jamaican diaspora, we carry a shared responsibility to uplift our island, especially in times of crisis. It is our responsibility to bring back the country we all love, the United Kingdom has been influenced by Jamaican culture immensely, it is not enough for us to sit at home and watch the people of Jamaica suffer knowing the impact Jamaica has had on us all.
I am working closely with local community volunteers and churches in Montego Bay to ensure that donations are distributed fairly and directly to those most in need. Transparency, accountability, and care will guide every stage of this initiative.
I am calling individuals, organisations, influencer's, and supporters across the globe to join me in this cause. Your generosity through a donation, partnership, or sharing this campaign will help provide safety, nourishment, and hope for those who have lost so much. Together, we can bring healing and light to Jamaica during this difficult time.
Thank you sincerely for your compassion and consideration. With your support, we can make a real difference, bringing healing and security while standing united with our brothers and sisters as they rebuild their lives and communities.
With gratitude,
Celine Taina
