Hi, my name is Harriet and I am fundraising for my twin brother Henry. Most of you who know him see him as the funniest, happiest and most bubbly boy on earth, despite all he has faced throughout his life. As he has never received an official diagnosis for his condition, life has always been scary for him and the family, yet he makes the most of every single day. It was thought had he would ever learn to talk, walk, or eat, but somehow he has exceeded all odds and does all of these A LOT!! He now loves football and being with his family. In particular he loves countryside and beach walks and has an ‘all terrain’ wheelchair which he’s had for around 10 years now. Inevitably, he has now grown out of this and it is becoming exceedingly difficult help him to be able to do these things that make him so happy. After lots of research and a discovery in the Peak District, we have found something that would be suitable for him, and would be life changing for us as a family. A ‘Tramper’ motorised wheelchair would allow him to join in with activities, giving him opportunities that he’d otherwise miss out on, whilst being independent and enjoying life.

Whilst this sounds like the perfect solution, they are ridiculously expensive. Therefore I’ve decided to fundraise by walking 100 miles in May to raise money to help pay for this life changing piece of equipment.

Henry is truly my inspiration who really deserves nothing but happiness, and I would love to be able to help him live his life that little bit fuller.
