Helping Harlem Grown's kids

Tax deductible
The "Source Team" has chosen children as the focus for our Legacy project. It may be cliché, but it is also a fact, children are our future. They are our future doctors, lawyers, scientists, humanitarians, and presidents. They are our future contributors to world peace and growing the 2%. Presented with the right opportunities and possibilities, children’s impact on the world is limitless. We’re committed to providing these opportunities and possibilities. Through our project, we can open children’s eyes to new ways of being.  Demonstrate how a diverse group of people can come together and create something remarkable. Encourage them to reach for all things that seem impossible. Our project puts us front and center to directly impact these children.

The Source Team is committed to creating a world that is peaceful, authentic, unified and compassionate. Through our legacy project we will be able to create the beginning of a ripple effect that will transform this world into our vision.

Project: We will be doing a 2-day “Promoting World Peace through Literature” drives to benefit Harlem Grown .  Our activities will focus on uniting people, communities and organizations in promoting literacy.

"The Source Team" will invite everyone within our networks, as well as families in the community we live in, to meet-up on Saturday, September 8, to divide and conquer NYC and enroll people to join us for our Canvas painting event on Sunday, September 9th.

Those we meet on our enrollment journey we will ask to record what the value of literacy is for them and how it may help in supporting a world of peace, unity and love. We’ll also ask the video committee to record stories of how literature has benefited the people we meet in striving for world and inner peace. As we engage with people we ask them to show up Sunday, September 9, at Saint Nicholas Park , where we’ll have canvases for them to paint their depictions of world peace through literature. We will request people to provide a $7 donation to participate.  On the day of the event, an operations committee person will accept those who have donated and direct them to painting. Those who arrive onsite will be asked for a $7 donation to paint a canvas as well.  We’ll ask people to paint their visions, impact or journey to a life of purpose and a life or mentality to promote peace in the world. The video committee will record the painters and ask them to share a valuable message on the value of literacy, world peace, and education with the students of Harlem Grown. We’ll offer the videos  and donate the canvases to Harlem Grown, as well, with the offer of a LI2 Source team + World Peace Art Exhibition benefiting the Harlem Grown community. There will be the possibility to have the charity host this. We will also invite local media to attend our Sunday event.  Any videos recorded can be shared with Harlem Grown for their students/volunteer & community.

GoFundMe will be our funds repository.

Along with the invitation to the below groups to help us raise funds for Harlem Grown , we’ll also promote and host on Sunday, a book drive promote world peace through education, and particularly, reading. Highlighting the value of education, through books can have an endless return for our goal and motivate the students of Harlem Grown as they start a new school year. We’ll invite children and adults from across the New York City tristate area, from different financial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds , to come together and enjoy a day of harmony, including:

a.     Book stores

b.     Schools and their student groups.

c.     Universities and their student groups.

d.     Arts stores

e.     Children’s stores

f.      Religious organizations

g.     Not-for profits (NFP)

We’ll have live music by our very own talented team members. There will be educational games onsite and will be giving always supplies that will be useful for  education including notebooks, calculators, etc. They can learn new skills, experience different cultures and make new friends.
