Helping Hand for Single Mom's Fresh Start
Donation protected
Hi all. As many of our close friends and family may know, the past year and a half have been challenging for our family. My pregnancy with Oliver was challenging, we have been learning more about Owen's needs and struggling to navigate childcare/education, me hitting clinical level burn out, doing my best to navigate my health concerns, learning more about my needs, healing from postpartum anxiety, trying to get my partner through school, and doing our best to fumble through our days.
Unfortunately, it looks like we can no longer navigate this journey together. It's messy in a way that I never would have imagined possible for us. I am gutted. My heart is broken, and now I get to add the task of untangling our lives to the extent possible with children. While we have agreed to sell the house, that is about where our agreements end.
I am writing this finding myself tasked with figuring out how to navigate life as a neurodivergent single mom of 2 brilliantly beautiful neurodivergent littles. While I have had a soft relaunch of my landscape design and consulting business and growing quickly, I am still paycheck to paycheck. Over the next few weeks, I get to acquire a vehicle (we have been sharing one that is in his name for a while now), secure 2 - 3 days per week of in-home childcare, and a new home for myself and these two curious little explorers with a zest for life. For this, I need an infusion of cash to make a new start.
All donations are welcome, and I can also make the following offer in return:
$450 or more - a landscape consultation up to 2hrs on site within 2 hrs of Clayton, NC
$1,000 or more - the above, plus a trip to your favorite garden center to shop plants for your space, or a written list of plant recommendations for your property by area
$5,000 or more - a conceptual landscape master plan for a residential property
If you have a different landscape need, I am open to working with you, just let me know and we can have a call!
For those that do not know, I have been designing and managing the installation of sustainable landscape projects and hardscape features for 15 years. You can find a sampling of my work in design and construction management here:
I am also open to the donation of a reliable vehicle that will accommodate 2 kids and a double stroller and real estate.
Thanks so much for your help through this challenging transition.
