Helping Gabby & Bear in this sad time (Teds son)

On the morning of 12/31, Gabby and her 10 year old son, Bear, woke up to find her 51 year old husband, Jon, and Bear's father hunched over his bed and not breathing.  This was a devastating  shock to them and us.  Totally unexpected.  
We drove 12 hours from Boynton Beach, Fl to Cary, N.C. to help them with the funeral arrangements and to comfort and try to help with Ted's grandson.  We were all in shock!  We saw all of them 6 months ago and Jon seemed okay.  We didn't know that in this short period of time Jon got very sick with various conditions and felt that he didn't have the money or time to put himself in the hospital for help.  He was ashamed to tell his father.  He had hoped that he would make enough money eventually to pay all of their bills and then take care of himself.
Gabby and Bear are now left with nothing.  She has to give up their apartment, rented car, and move two hours away to be closer to her mother, who doesn't have room to house them.  They have to find a place to live, get a car, and start Bear in a new school.  Bear was very close to his father and is hurting right now.  They have no medical insurance and need help with that also.  Gabby will try to continue working in her present endeavor or find a new job.
