Helping Family in Memory of Braydon Ballweber

On the night of January 15, 2022, many in our family received the worst call anyone can get. We were told our beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend had died.

Braydon Ballweber had been experiencing stomach pains, which became very severe a couple days prior. After an ER and primary care doctor visit, the source of the pains remained undetermined and worsened. His wife called an ambulance again, but a couple hours later, she received a call from the doctor saying Braydon had fallen unconscious and gone into cardiac arrest. They tried to revive him, but were unable to. His official cause of death remains unknown until we receive autopsy results. What we do know is an unexpected, medical tragedy happened, taking Braydon too soon; he was only 39 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Keri, and 5-year-old son, Ellis. Keri co-runs a harm reduction charity called Point-to-Point, volunteering and doing essential activist work. She also homeschools Ellis and hopes to finish her degree soon and continue her work in harm reduction.

Keri and Ellis have already incurred financial hardship due to the pandemic. Now, they have lost someone they loved more than anything and depended on.
