One day I was driving home from work and somebody cut me off in traffic. Instead of cursing the person, the first thought I had was, "What would have to happen in my life for me to do something like that?" I could list five things in five seconds, and after that, I wasn't able to get mad at them. As I got closer to home, I saw a homeless gentleman on the side of the road, and the same question came to my mind. "What would have to happen in my life for me to be in that situation?" Once I realized how close that situation could be for anyone, I started to see those in need as an opportunity to immediately reduce human suffering offered up on a silver platter.
No donation is too small and 100% of the money raised goes to supporting those in need. Sometimes I distribute resources like wool socks, blankets, hats, gloves, and rain gear. Other times I partner with family-owned restaurants to distribute meals. If they have a dependent like a child or dog, I try to take care of them the best I can (the good boy in the photo is Theo).
Thank you for your time.
Eric
