Hi everyone,

We are putting this together on behalf of our family to ask for some help for Dixie.

While traveling, Dixie experienced a sudden and severe medical emergency that quickly became critical. She had to be urgently intubated and evacuated to a specialized hospital far from home, where she is currently in the ICU under close neurological care.

To be completely honest, we don’t know what the coming days look like yet. Her condition is critical, and we are truly taking things hour by hour alongside the doctors. Right now, our only priority is making sure she isn't alone and has family right there at her bedside.

Because she was transferred to a facility out of town, our family had to drop everything to travel and stay nearby. The costs of emergency lodging, gas, food, and being away from work—on top of what will likely be substantial medical and transport bills—are piling up quickly.

We created this fund to help take some of that immediate financial pressure off so we can keep all our focus on Dixie. Any funds raised will go directly toward:

- Travel, fuel, and hotel costs so immediate family can stay near the hospital

- Emergency transport, evacuation, and out-of-pocket medical expenses

- Whatever care, transitional, or medical needs come next as her situation develops
