Denis O'Connor and his wife, Marie, and four children live in Artigallivan, Headford, Killarney, Co.Kerry
Denis is a native of Knocknagowen, Clonkeen, Killarney and has a sheep farm at this location at the end of the Clydagh Valley.
Unfortunately, since May, Denis has reported the theft of 160 sheep, 10 of which were reported stolen to Gardaí as recent as last week.
An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with any information or signs of any suspicious activity in this area should contact Killarney Garda Station on [phone redacted]160.
As you can imagine, this has caused enormous emotional and financial heartache to the family, which they conveyed at the recent
Glenflesk Community Alert meeting. We want to be able to assist and support this family in any way that we can. Denis has now moved back up to the home farm house to protect the rest of his livestock.
As a community, we want the O'Connor's to know we are behind them and want to show our support to assist them at this difficult time. We are setting up Go Fund me account to help lessen the financial burden that they are facing at present and hope the culprits are brought to justice. This family are broken emotionally and financially and need our help and financial support and our community awareness to help protect their farm
and ultimately their livestock.
Thank you all for your support!
