Helping Coach Mac in the Dominican Republic

Hi Friends and Family,

Happy Autumn!!!

As you know -- my Bar Mitzvah is just a few weeks away....and I am hoping you might consider supporting my Mitzvah Project.

For my project, I have been working with Coach John McCarthy -- who has been a coach and mentor to me since I was little. He was also a coach and mentor to my Uncle Alex (and a friend of my entire family for several decades.) For those of you that live in DC -- you will know he has run HOME RUN BASEBALL CAMP for ages. This summer, I spent several weeks volunteering as a CIT at HRBC -- working with the youngest campers.

Coach Mac moved to the Dominican Republic last year -- and he now works closely with the Grey Sisters of the Immaculate Conception -- who support underprivileged kids and elderly who need not only sporting equipment, but also basic medical supplies.

I plan to visit Coach Mac in the DR this winter -- to work with him running coaching sessions and volunteering my time to these kids.

In addition to my time, I am also raising money to support Coach Macs efforts and I hope you will support me in this drive by contributing $10 which can cover buying baseball equipment and medical supplies in the DR. I will also be taking down equipment that I will donate to Coach Mac's programs.
