Helping Cat Rebuild

I have never created a gofundme before, and I hate that I have to under these circumstances. I created this for my sister in hopes maybe we could help her rebuild her life.

After a really heinous year, my sister moved back home with my parents to rest and start anew. She left all her personal belongings from her home in Memphis in a (temp controlled) storage unit. She worked really hard for months to save up and get a new place in Nashville, and went back to Memphis earlier this week to get her belongings only to discover her unit has been infested with rats. They ruined EVERYTHING. Her furniture, her art she has made over the years (she’s an artist), her clothing, her kitchen and bathroom items, EVERYTHING. It was all chewed up and soaked in urine and horrifying to see. The unit owners are only offering her a small bit, and she is not in a financial place to afford an attorney. She is devastated. While I’m buying what I can for her, I thought I would make this fundraiser too so we can replace some things and try to help make this new chapter less traumatic for her. It’s the holidays, and I hate that she’s in this empty apartment with her dog, when she really was looking forward to this new chapter and the comfort it would bring.

If you’re able to donate I would be so appreciative. I’m trying to get her everything from shower curtains to bed sheets to even cooking spices so she can have something in her cabinets. If you’re unable to donate, but have some items you would be willing to donate, please let me know! I will personally come pick the items up and take them to her.
