Helping Cason

My name is Maureen Clement. It breaks my heart that this even has to be done, but the truth must be told. Cason is my nephew’s 15 year old Autistic son. He has been living with his dad and bonus mom since 10-29-23 due to his biological mom being kicked out of a home and becoming homeless. Cason was enrolled at a new Jr High and eventually High School and was flourishing!!! During the majority of this time the interactions with his biological mom were extremely limited due to her well being. When her visits were reestablished Cason was at the time in his life where a lot of physical changes were happening. He became an Autistic Young Man on overload and started lashing out on his bonus mom, therapists, teacher and eventually his dad. The situation became more dire when the attacks acured while in a moving vehicle. This absolutely broke his dad’s spirit. His dad sought out help from professionals and finally found a group that felt they could help Cason learn how to control his emotions and become more self sufficient and having a better quality of life by learning skills that would help him become more a part of society. It has taken many months to find a placement where they felt they could really help him. And now his biological mom is furious!!!! Doing everything and anything to get him kicked out of the program. She is now taking action to take my nephew (Tommy) to court and has slandered his character and that of his wife. I am asking for help to get a lawyer so Tommy can fight for the best for his child. This has been in no means an easy fix!!! Tommy has grieved and tried on his own to deal with this situation. He realizes though that Cason needs more then what an untrained person can do. PLEASE find it in your heart to help this family out.
