In a weeks’ time, I have the privilege of being part of a team from a Church in the East Midlands which is going to visit the Good Shepherd Centre in Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe . The Good Shepherd Centre works with vulnerable and displaced children.

The leader of the Good Shepherd project and his family are facing a challenge to move out of their rented property. This is due to the rent where they currently live being doubled, which is an excessive increase, and not something they can budget for. Under his leadership the Good Shepherd Centre provides love and security for 65 vulnerable children providing them the skills they need to thrive in their adult life.

They have acquired some land for a house to be built, and have already put foundations in for a new home.

However they are now facing some urgency to raise funds so that they can build this home faster in order to move in, rather than it being a longer-term project.
