Hey Y'all... Its been over 3 months since Gaby has passed and i have decided not to hold a traditional Memorial Service. I will not pick out colors, balloons, table cloths and do event planning and all the things. I have tried over and over again to bring myself to it and its a hard no.
I have been able to put together an initiative to create Gabriela's Gardens and will set them up all over the Southside of Houston. We will teach people how to grow food and flowers and provide them with all the supplies and support they need.
I am starting with 7. They will cost Approx. $500 for each. $3,500 total by April 20. I'm confident we can pull it off. I am going to push this fundraiser thru 2026 and will utilize the funds to build a legacy in her name. I wasn't able to pick balloons but i got some breathtaking flowers that are totally her esthetic.
I look forward to sharing this part of the journey with y'all. WE have seen some of the darkest effects of Addiction in our communities. Fentanyl Kills more than hopes and dreams. If you are struggling with addiction, please seek help. Sobriety is possible.
I am still coming out of the grief fog... I appreciate everyone for loving and supporting me thru this. I absolutely could not have made it thru this without each and every one of you. Thank you!
ANDREAS ORIGINAL POST:
Our community is coming together to support one of our own volunteers, who recently lost her child to addiction.
Beth always shows up to give her time, her energy, and her love to support those in need. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.
Through her pain, she’s choosing to turn her experience into purpose — opening up about addiction and the toll it takes on families. We want to stand beside her as she continues helping others through her strength.
All donations are set up go directly to Beth to help with funeral costs, time off work, and basic living expenses as she takes time to prepare, grieve and heal.
❤️ In loving memory of Gabriela Renee Sanchez ❤️
