Helping Alfie’s Squad support children bereaved by suicide

Hi, my name is Penny Bishop and I am doing my very 1st wing walk to raise money for Alfie’s Squad.

Alfie’s Squad is the only peer support group in the UK that supports children and young people (aged 6-17) who have been bereaved by suicide. Along with their family members, they have the chance to build confidence and reduce isolation, through fun and engaging activities. In addition to welcoming up to 50 young people to weekly face to face sessions, their national online group allows young ones to get together for activities in the comfort of their own home.

I chanced upon Alfie’s Squad last year, coincidentally at a time when someone that I care about found themselves and her children in this tragic situation. In some small way I wanted to help and have chosen to do Wing Walking to help raise money for this fantastic cause.

On 3rd May in Headcorn I’ll be safely strapped in on top of my plane and ready to take off into the skies!
