Miss Alayna made her appearance , at just 28 weeks gestational age.! She has been nothing but a fighter, since coming out of the womb ,and continues to fight hard every day just to survive. Unfortunately we found out she has extensive brain damage , that has caused a tremendous amount of other health issues for her to battle and try to over come. Alayna stops breathing daily , and has heart rate drops which lead to her needing stimulation to get going again , when these happen she is limp and grey, these will most likely happen for the remainder of her life due to her brain not reminding her to breathe Drs have not seen a case like hers. She also has 2 different rare types of
seizures which include Lennox gastaut syndrome( 1 in 2 million )have this and it's very hard to treat if at all and she has infantile spasms (1 in 2000 have these). She has also been diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy level 5, which is the highest level of severity. I keep thinking eventually it will get easier, but it doesn't . every time her apnea monitor goes off she basically dies and it's just as terrifying as the first time , all you do is re live it over and over again. Her medical needs, and her appointments have been very expensive any help is appreciated as well as all of the prayers you can imagine we need a miracle and can't do it with out you all :)
