Helping Ada and her little puppy

In life things don't always go the way we hope. On September 15th Ada began giving birth to her puppies. What we had hoped for to be a joyous event was filled with sadness. Even with veterinary care and an emergency C section only one of the four puppies Ada was carrying survived. There were 2 boys and 2 girls and we have one healthy boy. Because we do not know Ada's history, the father or any other medical problems she may have had in life it is impossible to know what happened. We did all we could for our sweet girl including a trip to the emergency vet early dawn.

Ada and her puppy are now doing well, it has been a very difficult and grief filled time for our staff and volunteers. So many people love this sweet girl and her little boy.
