Helping Abiyah Replace Her Horse
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nancy and I'm doing this fundraiser for my 18 yr old granddaughter, Abiyah. I grew up showing horses from the time I was about 9 until I went off to college. My granddaughter began riding lessons when she was 5 and has been showing and giving lessons for the past several years. It's the passion of her heart!
On Nov 10th of last year a fire started in the early morning hours in one of the barns where she boarded her horse Remie. It spread so fast, that the worker at the stables was only able to get a few horses out. Remie was one of 5 killed in the fire. Needless to say, it was devastating for Abiyah. And to make it worse, the owner of the stables had no insurance and left the owners of the dead horses grieving, without their much loved horses, and no financial means to replace them.
Remie was used for Western riding lessons and barrel racing as well general pleasure riding. I am starting this fundraiser for my granddaughter to help her get back a huge part of her life and heart that was lost when Remie died in the fire.
I know this is an ambitious goal, but horses at this level are not cheap. Although Abiyah has a full time office job, it doesn't pay any more than her basic expenses. Please consider giving a donation of any size you can to help us replace this great friend she lost.
