Hi, Kevin here...
I’ve got a friend who’s starting a new journey in sobriety. He’s doing the hard work — showing up, staying accountable, and building a new life one day at a time. What he doesn’t have is cheap rent. Turns out, sober living environments (SLEs) cost about the same as regular rent… only with more rules, fewer excuses, and absolutely zero wiggle room for “I’ll pay you Tuesday.”
The upfront costs to move him in were covered (yay progress), but now I’m trying to raise back those funds and help cover the next step, so he can focus on recovery, not panic about bills.
What donations will cover:
• Rent at his sober living home (keeps him in a safe, structured place)
• Basics like transportation and essentials (nothing fancy — bus fare, a bit of food, and household items)
• Breathing room so he can keep his head clear and his priorities straight
Every dollar helps. Think of it as investing in someone’s second chance — with much better odds than Vegas.
If you can donate, amazing. If not, sharing this is still huge. Either way, you’re helping keep my friend moving forward, not backward.
Thanks for reading, thanks for caring, and thanks for proving that community matters.
Gratefully,
Kevin
